Our Board of Directors consists of Herman Díaz, Lucia Panizza, and Taylor Coughlin. Together with a team of committed and passionate volunteers and performers we work towards enriching our cultural landscape within our community promoting and sharing our passion for Opera and Zarzuela.
Our love for the Lyric Theatre brought us together. And we knew that through our joint efforts we would bring the joy of our beloved Performing Arts closer to our multicultural and multiracial community. Through our programs and performances we bring people closer to each other and to their own roots.

Herman Díaz
Herman Diaz is a Cuban-American Lyric tenor praised for his range and versatility. He graduated from University of Florida via New World School of the Arts with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance. In Florida he has been engaged with companies such as Florida Grand Opera, Miami Lyric Opera, The Opera Atelier, Voices of Miami, La Zarzuela Inc, Florida Opera Prima, among others. This year he will be performing the roles of Rodolfo from La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini with Florida L’Opera & Zarzuela and Alfredo from La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi with Florida Opera Prima.
Mr. Diaz has study voice with Maestro Raffaele Cardone and Rodney Miller. He collaborated with coaches such as Maestro Raffaele Cardone, Caren Levine, Daniel Daroca, Jorge Arcila, Justin Landers, and Paul Schwartz. He currently studies with renowned teacher William Neill.

Lucia Panizza is a Uruguayan-American soprano, who graduated from University of Florida with the highest honors, as well as from Universidad de la República. In Uruguay, she attended Escuela Nacional the Arte Lirico, SODRE, and the Escuela de Música Vicente Ascone. The soprano was awarded two full scholarships by the Uruguayan Association of Musicians (SUDEI), and was later chosen to take part at a summer program at the Instituto Superior del Teatro Colon (Buenos Aires, Argentina), where she performed several arias by Mozart. In the United States, she has engaged with The Opera Atelier, Miami Lyric Opera, Miami Classical Music Festival, Florida Opera Prima, and La Zarzuela Inc., performing in their programs, concerts, and full productions. Furthermore, she participated actively in international summer opera programs including the European Music Institute in Vienna, and the Russian Opera Workshop. She also attended numerous Master Classes with such notables as Francisco Araiza, Ghenady Meirson, Juliana Gondek, Frederica von Stade, Deborah Voigt, Jake Heggie, and Manny Perez, among others.

Taylor Coughlin is a composer and writer, as well as a gifted musician who plays multiple instruments including guitar, bass, and drums. Since 2010 he has been working as a freelance music, video and audio producer and editor and has engaged in multiple marketing campaigns for different companies. Furthermore, he is a Data Analyst and holds a Bachelor’s of Science.
